TRAFFIC ADVISORY: SINULOG SOLEMN PROCESSION, JANUARY 20, 2018, Saturday
I. CCTO (known as CITOM) and Traffic Patrol Group, Cebu City Police Office, Cebu City, wish to announce and inform the riding public that vehicular traffic will be re-routed temporarily on the affected streets along the route of the solemn procession from Basilica del Sto. Niño, passing along Osmeña Blvd., proceed to Fuente Rotunda, right turn to Gen. Maxilom Ave., right turn to Imus New Road, left turn to M.J. Cuenco Ave., right turn to F. Urdaneta St. (near Toyota), left turn to P. Burgos St., right turn to Osmeña Blvd., and finally back to Basilica del Sto. Niño on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM until the activity is finished.
II. Clearing/Towing of vehicles and other obstruction along the procession route shall be done on January 20, 2018 at 6:00 A.M. up to 10:00 A.M. then follows the road closure.
TRAFFIC RE-ROUTING:
1. Passenger jeep coming from Bulacao, Pardo and Basak passing along N. Bacalso Ave., shall follow N. Bacalso Ave., right turn to V. Rama Extn., left turn to Tres de Abril St., right turn to Lakandula St., left turn to C. Padilla St., right turn to Panganiban St., right turn to Tupas St., right turn to Tres de Abril St., left turn to N. Bacalso Ave., then back to their point of origin.
2. Passenger jeep coming from Bulacao, Pardo, Alumnos, Inayawan and Basak passing along C. Padilla St., shall turn right to Carlock St., left turn to Tupas St., left turn to T. Abella St., right turn to C. Padilla St., right turn to Lakandula St., right turn to Tupas St., right turn to T. Abella St., left turn to C. Padilla St., then to their point of origin.
3. Passenger jeep coming from Banawa, Capitol, Guadalupe, and Oppra passing along Osmeña Blvd., shall go straight along Osmeña Blvd., right turn to J. Llorente St., right turn to Don Mariano Cui St., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.
4. Passenger jeep coming from Banawa, and Guadalupe, passing V. Rama Ave./B. Rodriguez St., shall right turn to Katipunan St., left turn to A. Lopez St., follow to Tres de Abril St., left turn to N. Bacalso Ave., except 06A and 06G shall turn left to V. Rama Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.
5. Passenger jeep coming from Lahug, Apas and Plaza Housing passing along N. Escario St., shall follow to N. Escario St., left turn to Juana Osmeña St., right to J. LLorente St., right turn to Osmeña Blvd., right turn to N. Escario St., then back to their point of origin.
6. Passenger jeep coming from Lahug, Apas and Plaza Housing passing along Gorordo Ave., shall follow to Gorordo Ave., left turn to Cardinal Rosales Ave., then make a U-turn at C. Rosales Ave., right turn to Gorordo Ave., then back to their point of origin.
7. Passenger jeep coming from Talamban and Pit-os upon reaching Ayala, while traversing along Gorordo Ave., left turn to Cardinal Rosales Ave., back to Ayala, to their usual route, then to their point of origin.
8. Passenger jeep coming from Mabolo including 03B while traversing along Juan Luna Ave., shall go straight then turn right to A. Soriano Ave., left turn to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right turn to D. Gaisano St., left turn to T. Padilla St., left turn to S. Osmeña Ave., left turn to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right turn to J.C. Veyra St., left turn Juan Luna Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.
9. Passenger jeep coming from Mandaue passing along M.J. Cuenco Ave., while traversing along Cebu North Road, shall turn left to Juan Luna Ave., right turn to A. Soriano Ave., left turn to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right turn to D. Gaisano St., left turn to T. Padilla St., left turn to S. Osmeña Ave., left turn to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right turn to A. Soriano Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.
10. Passenger jeep coming from Urgello and USC Girls High (Private) may transport/cater passengers from port area and North Bus Terminal passing Serging Osmeña Blvd., to Plaza Independencia, left turn to Legaspi Extn., back to Serging Osmeña Blvd., to port area and vice versa.
11. Passenger jeep coming from Labangon with Route Nos. 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D, 12F and 12M shall follow to Tres de Abril St., right turn to Carlock St., left turn to B. Aranas St., right turn to Lakandula St., right turn to C. Padilla St., right turn to Carlock St., left turn to Tres de Abril St., left turn to N. Bacalso Ave, then to their point of origin.
12. Passenger jeep coming from the South going to SM shall follow F. Llamas St., right turn Katipunan St., left turn R. Duterte St., proceed to M. Velez St., left turn to N. Escario St., left turn to Gorordo Ave., right turn to Salinas Drive straight to Juan Luna Ave., then to their destination. In going back they shall follow Juan Luan Ave., to Salinas Drive, left turn to Gorordo Ave., right turn to N. Escario St., right turn to M. Velez St., proceed to R. Duterte St., then to their point of origin.
13. Trucks, Vans, Trailers and other motor vehicles coming from the South going to SM or to North Area shall follow South Road and then to South Coastal Road at SRP, passing the tunnel, to Serging Osmeña Blvd., then to the North Reclamation Area.
14. Trucks, Vans, Trailers and other motor vehicles coming from the North Reclamation Area going to the South are advised to pass along S. Osmeña Ave., passing to the tunnel, then to SRP, then to their point of destination.
15. All motor vehicles coming from Tabunok, Talisay, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando and Carcar who wishes to go the North Reclamation Area are advised to pass at SRP Coastal Road.
16. All motor vehicles shall follow the existing rerouting plan implemented due to the construction of the tunnel/underpass at the junction of N. Bacalso Ave. and F. Llamas St.
17. Private vehicles coming from the South going to Capitol, Lahug shall follow to N. Bacalso Ave., left turn to Dela Victoria St. or to J. Tabura St., then to Sabellano St., left turn to F. Llamas St., right turn to Katipunan St., left turn to Duterte St., then to their point of destination.
18. Private vehicles coming from the North going to Capitol/Uptown while traversing along M.J. Cuenco Ave, may turn right to Pope John Paul II Ave. (Juan Luna Ave.), left turn to Gorordo Ave., right turn to M. Gaisano St. or N. Escario St., then to their point of destination.
III. Motorist, Drivers and other road users are advised to observe and follow the traffic signs installed on the re-routing areas to minimize traffic congestion.
