Record-breaking hip-hop artist Kang Gary is coming to Cebu!

South Korean variety star Kang Gary is all set to have fun with his Cebuano fans for a special fan meeting event

entitled, “GARY 1ST FANMEETING IN CEBU,” to be held on April 24, 2020, 8 PM at the Mediterranean Room

of the Waterfront Hotel & Casino.

The event will be the first stop of Gary’s Philippine Fanmeeting Tour, the second one to be held in Manila. 

Kang Gary first entered the limelight as one-half of underground hip-hop duo, Leessang, who popularized the

songs “Turn off the TV” and “Tears.” This venture was a massive success that allowed the duo to break into the

Korean mainstream music and eventually, a solo career in television for Gary.

In 2010, Gary joined a weekend variety program which catapulted his television career to unimagined heights. His

honest image as well as his skillful talents allowed him to shine and be recognized as the show’s ‘dark horse.’

While his television career was booming, Gary sought a solo career in music with the release of his album, “Mr. Gae.”

This was another successful stint that cemented his reign in both the music and the television world. The album’s

lead single, “Shower Later” took the #1 spot in various music charts despite the ban from major television networks. 

After a three year hiatus, Gary is officially back on television as  a regular cast member of “The Return of Superman,”

a reality show that features the lives of celebrity dads and their children.

Official ticket selling is on March 14 (12 NN) via Waterfront Concerts & Events counter. Tickets are priced

at PHP 6000 (MVP) and PHP 2500 (KG PASS).
