Sunshine Figues, the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Golden Sun Performing Arts Center said that they are a learning center that aims to train individuals to become world-class talents for the international stage.
This year, Golden Sun Performing Arts Center opened their summer workshops to youth who aspire to be performing artists, even opening a scholarship grant to 10 skilled individuals.
Last July 19, Golden Sun Performing Arts Center held their culminating event to showcase what their students learned throughout the two months in the new Theater and Auditorium at UC Jones.
To finish the year on a strong note, They are going to hold another licensed show production this November 21 and 27-29, 2025.
The title of the show is “BRING IT ON – the musical” under Musical Theatre International. The music and songs were written by Mr. Lin Manuel-Miranda and Amanda Green, with the story written by Jeff Whitty.
Did you know that this was nominated last 2013 in the Tony Awards for best musical and best choreography?
The story revolves around the competitive nature of high school cheer dancing and The Musical offers lessons on the importance of friendship, forgiveness, and collaboration over competition, teaching the value of understanding diverse perspectives, especially concerning socioeconomic and racial inequalities.
It also highlights how to face fears and challenges, the importance of self-belief and taking risks to achieve dreams, and how to find courage through connection and a strong support system.

Golden Sun Performing Arts Center will be donating a portion of its proceeds to support the victims of the 6.9 magnitude earthquake that recently struck Northern Cebu.
The cast and crew of BRING IT ON Cebu 2025 shares their sincerest sympathy and prayers for the victims. Through this production, the company will provide resources for home rebuilding for the citizens in Northern Cebu.
