Visayas Art Fair, Bodega Design Caravan, and Blue Mango Awards take center stage in Cebu’s creative calendar.

The Cebu Culture, Art and Design Foundation (CCAD) proudly announces the highly anticipated return of its trifecta of creative events — the Visayas Art Fair, Bodega Design Caravan, and the Blue Mango Awards — reaffirming Cebu’s stature as a UNESCO Creative City of Design and a leading force in the Philippine creative economy.

At the heart of CCAD’s continued success is its distinguished Board of Trustees, composed of industry pioneers and creative visionaries who have long shaped the nation’s design, manufacturing, and cultural landscape. Leading the foundation is Overall Chairperson Maria Luisa “Mari” Booth of Mehitabel Furniture Co., whose leadership upholds Cebu’s legacy of craftsmanship and innovation. President Christina Borromeo-Gaston, founder and creative director of Hacienda Crafts, champions sustainable design and community empowerment through artisanal collaboration. Vice President Kenneth Cobonpue of KCurated lends global recognition and design excellence that have elevated Cebu on the world stage. Corporate Secretary and VAF Chairwoman Lorenza “Laurie” Boquiren of Castilex Industrial Corp. fosters industry partnerships and design-forward production, ensuring Cebu’s competitiveness in the export market. Auditor Carlo Cordaro of Cebu Fil-Veneer Corp. contributes his extensive experience in manufacturing and craftsmanship, while Press Relations Officer and Blue Mango& Affiliates Chairperson Butch Carungay of Zai Design Hive advocates creative entrepreneurship and Filipino design advocacy. Together, the CCAD Board exemplifies the foundation’s mission to Connect, Create, and Cultivate — advancing Cebu’s reputation as a creative capital and a driving force in the Philippine art and design industry.

Guided by this collective leadership, CCAD continues to unite artists, designers, makers, and cultural advocates from across the country. Its three cornerstone events serve as platforms for collaboration, craftsmanship, and sustainable growth within the creative industries.

The Visayas Art Fair

A premier platform for Filipino artistry, the fair gathers visual artists and galleries from across theVisayas and beyond. With its curated exhibitions and inclusive programming, it amplifies both

emerging and established talents, putting regional creativity on the national stage.

The Bodega Design Caravan

Where creativity meets commerce, this design-forward showcase features innovative homeware, fashion, and artisanal products from the country’s leading designers and entrepreneurs. It highlights the power of design to transform everyday living while stimulating local enterprise and cultural appreciation.

 The Blue Mango Awards

Culminating the trifecta, this recognition program honors trailblazers in innovation, sustainability, and social impact — celebrating individuals and organizations that uplift Philippine design and culture, both locally and globally.

Expanding its creative scope this year, CCAD — in partnership with the Department of Tourism— will also host the 2nd Philippine Creative Tourism Congress, a national gathering of policymakers, tourism stakeholders, and creative practitioners. The congress aims to strengthen collaboration between the creative and tourism sectors, exploring how art, design, and culture can drive sustainable tourism and community development across the Philippines.

Together, these initiatives reinforce CCAD’s commitment to nurturing the Philippines’ creative ecosystem and positioning Cebu as the country’s thriving hub of art, design, and cultural innovation.
