Established in 1989, Sutadonya is a renowned Japanese restaurant brand under Antworks Inc., built on a legacy that began in Tokyo with a simple yet powerful purpose: to serve meals that energize people and give them strength to move forward.
Today, Sutadonya has grown into a globally recognized concept, with over 100 branches across Japan and an expanding presence in the United States with 4 locations, reflecting its strong international appeal and proven success.
Philippine Debut
Sutadonya is opening its first Philippine branch in Mactan Newtown, Cebu, marking a meaningful step in its Southeast Asian expansion.
The brand is led locally by President Jon Huang, who aims to introduce not just a new dining concept, but a purposeful brand rooted in both quality and community impact.
Why Cebu
Cebu was intentionally chosen as the brand’s Philippine home, not only for its vibrant food culture and growing global appeal, but also for its resilience.
In recent months, Cebu has faced a series of natural challenges, including earthquakes and flooding. In response, Sutadonya saw an opportunity to be present not just as a business, but as a partner to the community.
The brand began laying the groundwork for its mission in Cebu as early as December 2025, aligning its entry with a deeper purpose: to serve, support, and uplift.

Mission & Philosophy
Sutadonya carries forward its founder’s belief of nourishing people beyond just food, providing strength, comfort, and motivation through every meal.
The brand envisions itself as a source of support for communities, using food as a way to connect, uplift, and empower.
Journey of Bowls of Hope
The Journey of Bowls of Hope reflects Sutadonya’s commitment to going beyond business—using food as a way to uplift communities and create meaningful impact.
This advocacy is made even stronger through the support of JPRIDE, who was among the first to believe in this initiative. Their early commitment, generous contributions, and role as a major sponsor of the charity concert “Sounds of Hope,” happening today, March 27 at 5 PM, have been instrumental in bringing this mission to life.
Launched alongside Sutadonya’s arrival in Cebu as early as December 2025, the initiative is rooted in the belief that a simple meal can offer comfort, restore dignity, and inspire hope—especially in communities facing adversity. Through this journey, Sutadonya aims to turn every bowl into a symbol of compassion, connection, and resilience.
