The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is set to convene Cebu’s leading business figures, industry stakeholders, government partners, and member enterprises for the highly anticipated Joint General Membership Meeting (GMM) and Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2026 Grand Opening Salvo on May 22, 2026, at the SkyHall at SM Seaside City Cebu.

More than an annual gathering, this year’s event marks a defining institutional milestone for the Chamber as it formally transitions leadership from outgoing 51st President Jay Y. Yuvallos to incoming 52nd President Regan Rex T. King. The ceremonial turnover of the presidential medallion symbolizes not only continuity in leadership, but also CCCI’s enduring commitment to championing business growth, economic resilience, and regional development in Cebu and beyond. The evening will culminate with the inaugural address of President King, who is expected to unveil the Chamber’s strategic priorities and vision for the coming year. This year’s gathering carries even greater significance as CCCI strategically merges its Joint General Membership Meeting with the official opening of Cebu Business Month 2026: a move that underscores the Chamber’s commitment to aligning organizational leadership, member engagement, and economic collaboration under one unified platform. By integrating the Chamber’s largest membership assembly with the launch of Cebu Business Month, CCCI aims to create stronger synergy among its stakeholders while reinforcing the shared responsibility of the private sector in shaping Cebu’s economic future. The joint event also reflects the evolving role of the Chamber-not only as a business organization, but as a catalyst for innovation, partnerships, investment promotion, and regional transformation. As part of the program, newly elected officers and trustees will also be formally inducted, reinforcing the Chamber’s strong culture of service-driven leadership and collaborative governance within the private sector. In a strong show of organizational growth and inclusivity, CCCI will officially welcome and induct 19 new member companies into the Chamber network. The expansion reflects the growing confidence of enterprises in the Chamber as a vital platform for business collaboration, advocacy, innovation, and economic engagement across diverse industries. Adding prestige to the occasion, Ferdinand “Perry” A. Ferrer, President of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), will deliver the keynote message. His address is expected to highlight the importance of collective action, future-ready leadership, and stronger industry linkages in accelerating both regional competitiveness and national economic progress. The evening will then build toward the official launch of Cebu Business Month 2026 through a grand Opening Salvo celebration - a vibrant showcase of Cebu’s dynamic business ecosystem, entrepreneurial spirit, and collaborative energy. The kickoff event will bring together leaders from business, government, academe, and civil society in a shared commitment to advancing Cebu’s position as a premier hub for investment, innovation, and sustainable growth.
