CEBU CITY - Cebu will come alive with music this June as Fรชte de la Musique 2026 unfolds across four days of performances, collaborations, and community-driven events. Co-presented by Alliance Franรงaise de Cebu and Melt Records, this year's edition expands the globally celebrated music festival into a citywide experience that brings together artists, audiences, and creative communities through a diverse lineup of live music events.

The celebration opens on June 18 with French Notes & Cebuano Voices at the Marco Polo Plaza Hotel lobby starting at 7PM. Presented by Alliance Francaise de Cebu and the Arts Council of Cebu Foundation, the concert brings together acclaimed pianist Maxime Zecchini — widely regarded as one of the leading French pianists of his generation — and Cebu’s Sforzando Ensemble, conducted by Joseph Lanzaderas, and Huni Habagat Choir of the University of Southern Philippines Foundation, conducted by Nino Banares. The evening, also made possible by M. Lhuillier and the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, highlights a cross-cultural exchange where Western classical traditions meet Cebuano musical heritage.

"Fรชte de la Musique is a celebration of local talents around the world and of the rich diversity of artistic expression that brings communities together through music,” shares Alliance Franรงaise de Cebu executive director Nicolas Facino. “The Alliance Franรงaise de Cebu is proud to organize the 32nd edition of Fรชte de la Musique in the Philippines and to open this nationwide celebration with an exceptional concert on June 18, dedicated to the cultural dialogue and enduring friendship between France and the Philippines."

The festivities continue on June 20 and 21 by the Main Stage Weekend happening at Ayala Malls Central Bloc which features a diverse lineup of artists from Cebu representing the city’s growing music scene. Both emerging and established Cebuano acts are set to perform, including singer-songwriter and social media personality Zeke Abella, fast-rising indie rock band The Sundown, and beach-pop favorites Sansette. The Main Stage Weekend is presented by M. Lhuillier and produced by Ember Events & Artists Co.

Festival director Dexter Sy, cofounder of Cebu-based independent label Melt Records, curated the Main Stage lineup. “Fรชte de la Musique in Cebu is one of the local music community’s most anticipated events of each year,” Sy shares. “It is an honor to have been a part of growing it to the scale it is now celebrated on this year.”

Beyond the main stage, Cebu Pocket Stages — made possible through a collaboration with global music distribution platform TuneCore — will feature over sixty performers across nine stages in nightlife hotspots across the metro. Designed as a discovery-driven experience, each stage is curated by distinct music communities, encouraging audiences to move between venues and explore Cebu’s diverse sonic landscape.

Participating Pocket Stages include:

       Analog Stage by BAIHAUS (Crossroads)

Bass Stage by RVERB & Bantayan Bass Club at The Distillery (Crossroads)

Hardcore Stage by Hostile Youth at Azul

Heavy Stage by Hello Good Morning Productions at Social Park Avenue (Mango Square)

Indie Stage by John Bottles at Cebu Making Space (Mango Square)

Muzik Electronique Stage by Cebu Underground Movement at Draft Punk (Mango Square)

Hiphop & Pop Stage by RVERB & CVLTRE at From Here (Crossroads)

Ska & Reggae Stage by Skanky Vibes & Vanity Records Cebu at Handuraw Pizza Mandaue

Tropical Thunder Stage by PHIRE Starter at Elinor Cafe

TuneCore is also behind two key activations at this year’s festival—hosting the Cebu finals of its “Flex Your Flow” rap song contest at the Hiphop & Pop Stage, and separately conducting open calls that invite aspiring musicians to join the festivities, with selected entries performing across the pocket stages.

Alongside the pocket stages, ATUAng Pride 2026 takes place on June 27 at Atua Midtown. Presented in cooperation with House of Renaissance and Owl Stories & Spirits, the event features drag performances in the courtyard of the city’s newest cultural landmark, extending the festival’s spirit of inclusivity and community celebration beyond music alone.

Now in its most expansive Cebu edition to date, Fรชte de la Musique 2026 reaffirms its mission of making music accessible to all while celebrating the creative communities that continue to shape the city’s cultural identity. From hotel lobbies and malls to cafรฉs, bars, and public spaces, the festival transforms Cebu into a living stage, inviting audiences to discover new sounds, connect with local artists, and take part in a shared celebration of music and culture.
