CEBU, Philippines — Melt Records and Filla Killa Records are bringing the critically-acclaimed Canadian riotgaze duo, Softcult, to Cebu this June 13 at From Here, Crossroads, Cebu City. The Southeast Asia-wide tour comes after the release of their stellar debut album, When a Flower Doesn’t Grow, which was released in January of this year.

Softcult first gained traction with EPs like See You In The Dark, which received a Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year in 2024. Their latest record, When a Flower Doesn’t Grow has received worldwide acclaim, clinching a five-star review in NME, a nod as one of Billboard’s and The Globe and Mail’s albums to look forward to in 2026, among others.

In their review of the record, Billboard wrote: “The group's shoegazey sound and unflinching lyricism — this album is touted to ‘explore cycles of abuse, conformity and systemic oppression, while honouring the courage it takes to break free’ — has made them a serious band to watch.”

Joining Softcult in their debut Cebu performance are local bands Monopolice and School Girl Classic, as well as Cagayan de Oro’s critically-acclaimed dreampop outfit, KRNA. Tickets are priced at PHP500 for students, PHP900 for the online presale, and PHP1200 at the door. Tickets for Softcult Live in Cebu are available now online via melt.click/BuySoftcultInCebu.
