𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲

CEBU CITY — A two-day seminar-workshop aimed at helping educators, parents, and academic professionals navigate the challenges of technology in education will be held on July 30–31, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, at the Aula Magna Hall, Sto. Niño Pilgrim Center, Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño Compound along Osmeña Boulevard in Cebu City. Titled "Making Education More Human in an Age of Technology," the event seeks to strengthen the human-centered aspects of teaching and learning amid the growing influence of digital tools.

The workshop will be facilitated by Ireneo de Leon, M.Ed., of Prairie Moon Waldorf School in Kansas, USA. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions exploring practical approaches that emphasize meaningful relationships, creativity, and holistic learning while integrating technology responsibly in educational settings.

Organizers said the program is designed for local educators, parents, and members of the academe, with the goal of supporting the professional development of Cebuano teachers and equipping families with strategies to foster more human-centered learning experiences.

Registration is PHP 1,500 per person, inclusive of workshop materials and a certificate of participation.
