The Cebu leg of World Travel Expo (WTE) Year 10 was officially introduced on Friday during a Media Launch at Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, setting the stage for the three-day travel event on August 14–16, 2026, at Ayala Center Cebu.
The Media Launch outlined the vision for the upcoming Cebu edition, which continues the
nationwide Year 10 series and reinforces the role of collaboration in strengthening Philippine
tourism. This year's event carries the theme "Xtraordinary Journeys, Xceptional Memories,"
reflecting the experiences created through the collective efforts of destinations, tourism
enterprises, local communities, and travel professionals.
Caballero said travel creates value beyond the destinations themselves. It opens opportunities through conversations, strengthens partnerships across the industry, and connects travelers with the communities that give each place its identity. She also recognized Cebu as an appropriate host for the next leg of World Travel Expo Year 10, citing its rich culture, vibrant tourism sector, and enduring reputation for Filipino hospitality. As the Year 10 series continues, the Cebu edition will provide a platform for destinations and tourism organizations to engage with travelers, build industry partnerships, and promote experiences that contribute to the continued growth of Philippine tourism. In her keynote address, Miles Caballero, Managing Director of World Travel Expo,
