CEBU CITY - Cebu Marathon 2027 will introduce several changes aimed at improving race organization, runner safety and the overall participant experience.

The Cebu City Sports Commission (CCS) will co-organize the event, with DJT Events leading professional event management, including planning, logistics, supplier coordination and race-week operations. The Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC), founders of the Cebu Marathon, will remain as consultants during race preparations.

The 2027 edition will focus on improving key areas of the race, including hydration, race entitlements, course activities, medical and logistical support, and communication with runners.

Improved Runner Experience

Cebu Marathon 2027 will feature a route designed to showcase Cebu while providing a safe and organized course for participants. The AlMS-certified 42K route will pass by the iconic CCLEX, Cebu Tunnel and other heritage and culture sites. Hydration stations will be strategically positioned and properly stocked, while entertainment, local cheerers and sponsor activations will be placed at selected points along the route.

Race kit entitlements will also be upgraded, and all finishers across all race categories will receive a finisher medal.

More than P600,000 in cash prizes will be awarded across the Overall Open, Male and Female Age Group, and special award categories. The Male and Female Champions of the 42K Open Category will each receive P70,000.

New and Expanded Partnerships Cebu Marathon 2027 welcomes Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI) as its Title Sponsor and Presenter, together with a growing group of event and brand partners. Pocari Sweat, Immuni, Hello Glow, Omega Pain Killer and other participating brands will provide products and additional benefits for runners. NuStar and official hotel partners will also support race-week activities and accommodations for out-of-town participants.

Through Official Vehicle & Raffle Partner OMODA & JAECOO, eligible participants will have the chance to win a brand-new Jaecoo J5 Super Hybrid System Compact SUV.

Professional Race Management DJT Events will oversee the planning and execution of Cebu Marathon 2027, working with the Cebu City Sports Commission and relevant government agencies on race operations, permits, traffic management, safety, medical support and logistics.

The new organizing structure is intended to provide clearer responsibilities and accountability across all areas of the event.

Cebu Marathon 2027 also aims to strengthen its position as a destination race, encouraging runners from around the Philippines and overseas to experience Cebu during race weekend.

Part of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Cebu City Sports Commission and Sinulog Foundation, Inc., supporting programs related to sports, wellness, culture and Cebuano traditions.

Cebu Marathon 2027 will be held on January 10, 2027 as part of Cebu's Sinulog season.
