FROM CEBU TO ARANETA: BELAMOUR & LEEYAN TO REPRESENT THE VISAYAS AT THE 11TH PPOP MUSIC AWARDS

Cebuano PPOP artists officially announced as special performers alongside PPOP acts from across the Philippines

CEBU CITY, PHILIPPINES — Cebuano PPOP artists BELAMOUR and LEEYAN are officially heading to Manila as special performers at the 11th PPOP Music Awards, happening on October 18, 2026, at the Araneta Coliseum.

Their inclusion in the official PPOP Music Awards announcement marks a significant milestone not only for the artists but also for the growing Cebuano and Visayan PPOP community.

The official promotional material identifies BELAMOUR and LEEYAN as special performers representing the VISAYAS, placing two Cebuano artists on one of the country's major stages for Filipino pop music.

A NATIONAL CELEBRATION OF PPOP

The upcoming 11th PPOP Music Awards will bring together PPOP acts from different parts of the country, celebrating the diversity and continuing growth of Philippine pop music.

Among the PPOP artists set to perform during the main show are XONARA, X8 (formerly XLR8), Hazel Faith, CALISTA, BILIB, NEO, 6ENSE, CLOUD 7, ONE SOUTH, NOVA, and SYNC, alongside special performers BELAMOUR and LEEYAN.

The diverse lineup brings together artists from regional and national PPOP scenes, creating a platform where emerging talents and more widely recognized acts can share the same stage.

For BELAMOUR and LEEYAN, being part of this celebration alongside artists from across the country makes their participation even more meaningful. As Cebuano artists carrying the VISAYAS banner, their appearance provides greater visibility to the growing PPOP movement in Cebu and the wider Visayan region.

FROM CEBU TO THE NATIONAL STAGE

LEEYAN is a Cebuano independent PPOP solo artist, singer-songwriter, and performer who continues to build his career through original music, live performances, collaborations, and participation in the growing Philippine PPOP community.

As an independent artist, LEEYAN has released original songs including “Chase The Sky,” “’Yan (that),” and “FUEGO,” while developing a musical identity influenced by PPOP, contemporary pop, dance, and his own experiences as a Cebuano artist.

His journey reflects the growing opportunities for independent artists outside Metro Manila to reach wider audiences while maintaining their own creative identity.

Meanwhile, BELAMOUR is a Cebuano PPOP girl group under the YAONA Artists Guild. The group continues to establish its identity through original music, performances, and creative projects while contributing to the growing visibility of Cebuano female artists in the Philippine PPOP scene.

Together, BELAMOUR and LEEYAN represent two different expressions of Cebuano PPOP—one as a girl group and the other as an independent solo artist.

MORE THAN JUST A PERFORMANCE

For YAONA Artists Guild, their participation in the 11th PPOP Music Awards is more than simply bringing two artists to Manila.

It represents an opportunity to showcase the creativity, determination, and potential of artists coming from Cebu and the Visayas.

“We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity to represent Cebu and the Visayas. We hope our performance will not only showcase who we are as artists, but also remind aspiring artists from Cebu that they can dream beyond their hometown and take their place on the national stage.”

The artists' participation also highlights the importance of strengthening the PPOP ecosystem outside Metro Manila, where independent artists, dancers, creative communities, and local supporters continue to create opportunities for homegrown talent.

For YAONA, this journey is about bringing Cebuano creativity to a wider audience while encouraging more young artists to pursue their own path in music and the arts.

CEBU HAS A PLACE IN PPOP

The 11th PPOP Music Awards is set to take place at the Araneta Coliseum on October 18, 2026, with the Red Carpet at 3:00 PM and the main show at 5:00 PM, according to the official promotional material.

For BELAMOUR and LEEYAN, the road to Manila represents a collective journey supported by their fans, fellow artists, creative communities, partners, and the people of Cebu.

Their appearance is a celebration of where they came from—and a statement of where Cebuano PPOP can go.

Cebu has a voice.
The Visayas has talent.
And they are ready for the national stage.
